As a Libretarian I definitely supported Ron Paul as a cnadidate, but for the average American - a hands off govenrment comes off as a scary thing. You'd be suprised, but people aren't willing to give up the benefits the government provides them for other ideologies we SHOULD have, like ya know, not invading countries for little reason.

thats just a cop out way of thinking. We have never been a hands on government... until recently.
What benefits are you talking about that people are not willing to give up?

RP never said he would totally cut social programs.
And RP is a true republican. He wont be runnning as a libertarian.
