the best shot i ever made, even though complete luck, was when my partner made the first shot, the kid got the cup and held it behind his back so we couldnt shoot at it. well i went to shoot the ball of the ceiling, just aiming for the remaining cups, overshot it, dropped in behind the kids back and into the cup

talk about a surprised look on someone's face. i prolly couldn't do that again ever if i tried

Last week or the first time in my life, I got a ball to sit on the lid of where 3 cups meet (hopefully I explained that ok). I was freaking out cuz I've never seen it done, and I did it. I had always heard that when this happens they are suppsed to pull all 3 cups the ball is touching, but the people we were playing said it's no cups because they ball did not go in. How do you guys play it.

See, the beer pong I know of includes paddles. You set up two cups of beer at each side at the corners, and then you use paddles to try to sink the balls. You play to a certain number of points, and I can't remember how exactly it was played, because after college I never hung out with guys from the frat that used to play "Beer Pong". The people I hang out with play Beirut, and it's never referred to as beer pong.

Not so sure you're right. First of all, I don't know if there is an actual proper name for it, because it's not like a nationally government or whatever recognized game/sport.

However, if you look at the "national beer pong association" they play the pyramid game. There is also a "national beirut assocation"... So who knows?
