Re: Floods.

Thers been a thing between the original owner and my father from way back so its a moral issue, in other words the guy is a prick. Personally i believe he lost it in a river looking at the damage to it and claimed insurance on it not wanting to pull it out or not being able to pull it. For you guys who think i'm a douchebag i called the guy 3 hours after i finally pulled it out and assessed everything that could be wrong with the machine and told him were i had found it and the effort it took to retrieve it. I also phoned the police force for him just in case it was stolen from it and physically told him the story behind it and anyone that claims it besides this owner is more then likely the person who stole it. The guy has since come out and taken a look at the atv and decided to take it to a repair shop to see how much it would take to get it running were i have parts off my 96 Trail Boss i could through on it. So as today the atv is no longer in my hand or his, but at a repair shop.

I handle insurance papers, i'm not a douchebag so back off. I wanted to see what it would take to get it running.

Re: Floods.

theres a lot on this issue i can share with and show why its a moral issue, but its insurance information and that is to remain confidential.

No where in your original post did you ask what it would take to get running. You created the thread to simply brag about how you found an ATV, knew who owned it, and was keeping it because you didn't like the guy. Sounds like a douchebag to me.

Correction: If you find an ATV in a river, and you know it's previously reported stolen property and post about it on the Internet as being such, call the authorities or the original owner and report it found.
