i love debating with people

esp when they are ignorant on both sides of the subject.

in this case, I was debating with someone on evolution.

Their first statement, which led me to believe they did not know what they were talking about was that Darwin was atheist, which he wasn't.

so the debate goes on, that person favoring evolution.

so I asked that person if they believed humans came from a random single celled organism that happened to appear in a puddle of water. the response "well of course not"....................

so they believe in evolution, but apparently don't at the same time.

oh, another statement was made about the Big Bang Theory being proven.


i said "it is only a theory, therefore has not been proven"

the reply "just because the word theory follows it doesn't mean it hasn't been proven"

my first example was

"ok..... random guy at a sporting event. he is yelling and cussing, threatening to beat people up, and is being totally beligerant. is that man drunk..... or high?"

I have zero interest in debates. It's too close to arguing IMO.
I know a couple people that feed off of debating, but they turn it into arguing.
It drives me insane.
Most people are pretty set in their ways and no amount of logic will help them change their minds, so what's the point? to make yourself feel smarter than someone or some ****?

I'd rather just kick back with some drinks and enjoy another person's company, rather than pick a fight all the time.
