Time to say goodbye...

Well, I did it. I said goodbye to the Cougar today. I just brought home an 04 40th anniversary Mustang GT. Its the deep crimnson red with the beige leather interior. Its a beautiful car. I'll miss the Cougar, but the GT is where my heart has been for along time.

I hope to still pop in here from time to time and see whats going on with all you Neco folks.

It's been a fun ride. Thats for all the support over the years.

Gregg

As a manufacturer, I think thats kind of what they try to do. Start you off with a cheaper, base vehicle, and as you get older, move you up to the higher end vehicles.

how is Cougar a cheaper, base model?

iirc, i paid 22k for a very nicely appointed sports coupe.

cheaper base model would be a V6 mustang.

Good luck with your Stang Gregg!

Re: Time to say goodbye...

Thanks Matt. I'm tickled, and was really surprised to find a nice crimson red GT. I guess your red seats are safe now..LOL

I paid 18k for mine - no autotragic, no moonroof, no leather, but otherwise everything you could get. You could get an i4 with no options at the time for 15.

Re: Time to say goodbye...

I never looked at the Mustang as a step up from my Cougar. I loved my Cougar, it was a great car. But I've always had the soundtrack of a V8 Mustang playing in my heart. And to be honest, the Cougar was getting to old, I was getting to old, and I was tired of waiting for another one. I think I got a great deal, it only cost me 14,500. Not to bad. I'll probably hang around, just to keep an eye on all the "gay" topics in the Lounge area...LOL
