Thanks for the heads up on themustangsource. I've just joined. Yea, I love that red. I found out that Ford built just a little 4500 over crimson red mustangs in 04. It was only available as part of the 40th anniversary package.

I paid around $24k for mine back in November of 98. Every option possible ordered from the factory. I think I waited about 3 months for it because of factory delays. If I went with a Mustang it would be with an 03 or 04 Cobra. In my opinion its easily the best performing Mustang for the cash. A friend of mine is running a wipple on his with over 650whp. Originally the Cougar was a winter driver as well though so at the time a Mustang would not have been an option anyway.

My sisters boyfriend has an 04 Cobra with a Kenny in it holy ****, I feel like a little kid in a candy factory in that thing.

Anyways, there really is no reason to leave! It seems like a good majority of people here on the new edge cougar owners forum don't own Cougars :p I'm actually planning on getting rid of mine as soon as I sell my truck.

I would have loved a Cobra, or a Mach 1, but was having a heck of a time finding a nice low mileage Cobra or Mach that was a stickshift. I was amazed when I found this one in such good shape. A supercharger would be a DANDY addition...let me get it paid off first. LOL.
