that is the tip of the iceberg... whats going on in the city this week is complete and utter overload of beer that will flat out NEVER be available again.

ya craft brewer's conference and world beer cup, both in chicago this weekend.... I was totally clueless about it until last friday.... these events are not held at the same time or in the same city, its a perfect storm of stupidly awesome beer.... If I had known in advance, I would have had taken the week off.

Wade, if you want, I'll see if I can snag you a bottle of Goose Island's Night Stalker. They allocated 3 cases for the state of IL (which is disturbing because they are based and almost solely distribute in IL). My buddy's store got 3 bottles (which he obviously took home all of them), and we had them for my birthday the other week.... AMAZING. its an imperial porter that at the last minute is dry hopped. Its the most amazing porter you will ever have which has a tinge of bitterness at the end, and then for no applicable reason leaves you with a clean pallet. Anyways it looks like I might have a handle on some of the release they submitting for the world beer cup.

their Hottenroth berliner is the greatest beer that has ever crossed my lips.
I am simply blown away by every beer they have released. If they don't take gold in every catagory they enter, well then, this is a very sad world.
