So, I'm at the at the airport (in Cleveland). Early. I was the only person in the security checkpoint. So I've started my own pre-party... Here in the bar. :-)

I hate Chicago O'hare.

So it was on time... we got on the plane... they closed the doors... pilot tells us the weather in chicago (partly cloudy with a chance for rain)... and then nothing. 10 minutes later, pilot on again... announces O'hare is closed due to a storm (WTF?!)

I look up weather maps after talking to Brian and Mary and hearing it's sunny there and see there is a small storm, but c'mon... it would be gone by the time we got there.

So we sit on the plan for about 2 hours... and then they make us all get off (to stretch our legs) with a planned departure for 8:15 (that's an hour later)... but the weather maps say its going to storm in Cleveland in an hour... and I can see it coming outside...

So I cancled (and got my money back... advantage of being a frequent flyer) I'm betting that the plane will be further delayed, maybe even cancled due to the storms in Cleveland (and those really did look bad) and by the time I could get there, people would be going home.

I'm really sorry everyone... I really wanted to be there. I tried... and I'll try again sometime soon.

And everyone that bought me beer... I'm so sorry!
