Hollidaysburg

Hey all, newby here, Just bought a 99 2.0 auto for economy due to the fact my 91 F250 4x4 with a 460 has a drinking problem. I picked this car up for 200dollars and am in the process of trying to locate a transmission for it. The car is in real good shape, runs real smooth but only goes in reverse. My son had a Focus with a Zetec and had it modified a little and it ran better than I expected, so I think I can get some scoot out of this and decent mileage too. If anyone knows of a good trans, let me know, I want to get it done before spring. Being that I am used to big a**ed trucks with V8s and diesels this will be new to me. Nice being here.

Oh, by the way I found a 99 V6 auto with some slight front body damage on Pennswoods.net in Clearfield that is for sale if anyone is interested. Check it out.

Welcome to NECO!

And just curious...what mileage do you get with that? I doubt my '04 5.4 gets much better

Re: Hollidaysburg

Somewhere around 14mpg out of it. My son named it B.U.T.T big ugly turquoise truck. My 01 5.4 supercrew gets around 18 in town and It has given me 22.8 on a trip. I am used to bad mileage vehicles but I like the safety of big trucks.

Re: Hollidaysburg

I wish mine got that I'm thinking of adding the Edge Evolution to tune it up a bit and hopefully squeeze some extra mileage out of it.

Re: Hollidaysburg

Can't find a good trans and don't want to pay a load of $$$ for a reman unit, so I am thinking of selling the whole car or parting it out. Everything on the car works except the trans slips in drive, I will sell whole car for $600.00. I will bid the parts out to see if I can get enough out of the parts to make the $600.00. e-mail me at beast428pi@yahoo.com
