anybody molded a screen into their dash?

if so i want pics, and any other info you have on this. my goal is a 7" lilliput or xanarc for my car-pc project. im sure this is possible but im curious as to the approach im gonna take with this.

i might take the front cover off of a screen and spray foam insulation it into my dash then carve and fiberglass as needed but im curious if anyone has done this yet. thank you folks!

Re: anybody molded a screen into their dash?

This is my first post here, so Hi! to everyone, I've been keeping my head down in the UK.

Yes, I fitted a screen for a VDO sat nav into the upper dash, the computer is where the CD changer was in the trunk, remote controls on the steering wheel with an ambient light sensor for the screen on the steering column & the radio is behind the dummy ashtray/lighter.

Re: anybody molded a screen into their dash?

This is what my dad and i did last summer. He is the fiberglass guy and i do all the electrical. This is an ok picture. We cut out the vents taped them off underneath. Added a side mirror pivot for the LCD, and Presto. Its not finished we need to find piece of felt or rubber to hide the gaps so it looks nice while it pivits and a few touch ups and sick.
