IC: Lower control arms for track use

Out of respect for Stangkiller, I waited until he shipped the parts for his group buy before posting this.

I have been in contact with a fabricator who is excited to bring to market the very control arms designed by Ford Racing for use by Mumm Brothers Racing on their Cougar. This fabricator, RPM Motorsports, specializes in producing parts for the racing industry, especially Mazdas. Here are some examples of what they have done: headers, intake manifold, roll cages, engine swap, powder coating, more powder coating.

Each arm will be truly tubular, made entirely from 4130 steel (a.k.a. chromoly), and TIG welded. The fabricator guarantees this piece to be unbreakable. Pricing will be around $800-$900/pair.

I have also requested that they produce the arms in mild steel using MIG welds, for those who are cost-conscious and have less demanding requirements. These will likely run between $600-$700/pair.

Pricing includes powder coating. The first set is scheduled for production this week. Many more photos will be posted then. Meanwhile, feel free to ask questions or simply

i'm 4 bolt, but this looks like a very nice set-up! i assure anyone with major power adders that this is the very best way to ever have a chance of getting it to the ground.

What are the chances of getting tubular rear control arms like Jrak was trying to do?

I think there were only 3 sets made, and you'll never get mine! Muahah! But I think someone on CEG makes a set?

If they exist on the Mumm Brothers Cougar, there is a good chance they will be made. If there is demand as well, the odds are even better.

i asked them to investigate producing four-bolt arms, but honestly, it would be more cost-effective to switch out your front subframe to a two-bolt.

If you can get rear LCA's, I'd be in for sure.

I'm still waiting on a refund from the Jrak one, but let me know.
