This is an actual release by FMC. Notice that the sales in the month of October 2001 (2002 Model) over 2001 (44%) BUT the sales for the 2001/2002 model year were down -27.6% from 200/2001 models.. Since this was a record year for FMC and L/M sales were below the mark. I assume that this was a marketing error on the part of L/M (no sales promotions)... What increases in sales that appear, as in Cougar, were most likely special clearance sales to get rid of the models Ford had killed.. i.e. Cougars..
