    KKM Intake

I just bought a used KKM intake and have no clue what the little blue sampling tube does or where it's supposed to go. Any help would be much appreciated.

sounds like the person who had it gave you an additional piece which you don't need... The KKM consists of a bracket, the filter and adapter I believe... no hoses...

Then What do I do with the sensor that usually goes into the stock air box? Also, on the KKM website, it shows that it does come with the sampling tube. I have no clue.

it goes into the stock rubber accordian tube... perhaps you do need the tube to get it there... I don't know I have the KKM and a polished intake tube that replaced the stock rubber accordian thingy so we had to modify everything...

Shak-- It sounds like you might of gotten a SVT KKM intake. It works on the Cougar as thats what I use but you need a SVT gooseneck (rubber intake hose) for it to hit snug. I have a pic I'll try and post it later.

It's not the SVT intake. It's just the regular one that bolts on to the stock goose-neck. It just has this blue rubber tube called a sampling tube that doesn't seem to go anywhere. Do I need to pop a hole in the goose-neck in order to put the hose in?

whoah guys, wait a sec... I have the KKM, and it *does* come with a blue tube.

Okay, I'm not a car person, so bare with me as I try and explain hoses without knowing their names.

There are (if I remember correctly, two holes on the Windshield side of the accordian, and one hole on the nose side of the accordian. The Temperature sensor comes out of the stock box, and into one of the two holes on the accordian... you then take the tube that did go in that hole, and put it into the blue tube, under the accordian, and into a T connector with the hose from the other side of the accordian. Hope that made sense... if not, someone who actually knows the names for these things should post...
