HEY! its supposed to be about a cougy still runnin/lookin/good at 1/4 of a million miles! not my bad driving habits on the Interstate!!! Never mind that I was using a camera while driving!!!! If you must know I was smoking a cig, drinkin coffee, and having a smoothie at the same time!

Dont worry - I pay all my speeding tickets!

For the others: Its a 2000 V6 ATX - all stock.

I really dont do that much preventative maintenance. Instead I do regular inspections and fix what needs fixing when it needs fixing.

I do not throw money away on FEEL GOOD maintenance.

I use whatever cheap oil I can find as long as its certified. I do oil changes between 7,000 - 10,000 miles. Modern oil really does last that long. I don't believe in adding to the waste stream for no good reason.

When I bought this car, I also went and bought an OBDII Scanner. It paid for itself on the first repair.

I've disassembled my UIM/LIM for cleaning 4 times since Ive owned it and have REUSED the same gaskets everytime. Time to do it again I'm thinking.

Each set of spark plugs has lasted over 100,000 miles. I've had to replace plug wires once.

The original battery finally crapped out 2 months ago.

All original engine belts.

Soon I'll update my repair list that I posted when I hit 100,000 miles. Compared to some of you all - I think I've been fortunate.

People still turn thier heads at this car.

rock on cougars!
