Craftsman 95 pc. Mechanics Tool Set with Easy-To-Read Sockets - Model 34095 at Sears.com

Do the pieces in this kit seem comprehensive enough for a good foundation?

Re: Basic Tools

Big thing to remeber, everything in a cougar is metric

Basic tools that always get used

jack
jack stands
a set of 3/8 and 1/4 drive metric sockets
1/4 and 3/8 drive socket wrenchs
set of metric combo wrenches (open one side, boxed other)
screw driver set
torx set, form small to big they are used on interior panels, headlights, grill, rear brakes (this is the big torx)
wire stripers
electrical tape
plier set
16" 1/2 drive breaker bar and 6pt 22m 1/2 drive socket, ( this is for your lugs, hte stock wrench strips easy)
penetrating oil

if you ever wanna do suspention work ( ie spring and strut swaps) you need some beefy and speciality tools.

a full set of 1/2 drive sockets
rubber malet
pry bar set
ball joint seperator
spring compressors
deep offset metric wrench set (not critical but helps alot with strut removal)
allen key set

Re: Basic Tools

looks like a good starter set for the price. (60 bucks, right?)
you still need a full torx set and some extensions.
Oh yeah, torque wrench is always a good investment.
