I just realized that the oldest Cougars have just turned 10...

Anyone still active on here that's got a Cougar that's hit the decade mark? Mine would this coming October, if the kid who bought it hasn't crashed it yet.

August 31st will be mine!

I can't believe how much my life has changed in that time, and looking back, I actually owe almost all of it to the cougar and people I've met on this forum!

My first Cougar, the 99 Rio Red, would have turned 10 this fall - September (or thereabouts) 2008. My current Cougar won't turn 10 till February 2011.

Mine turned 10 last week on 5/13. For its birthday it got a new flexplate and will be getting a full interior/exterior detail next month as a belated present. Funny thing is people can't believe it's 10 years old, still looks great.

I seem to be in this endless fight with the GF that I 'ditched' her to hang out with my car for her 9th birthday last weekend.

its like seriously WTF, I've talked about it endlessly for months. That I was doing nothing on the 17th so I could hang out with my car, Its a national holiday as far as I am concerned, and I repeated it over and over again. I mentioned it again like a week and a half ago my intentions and with genuine suprise she said "oh, I thought you were joking about that"... ummm, no. Then the next week she bugged me about it several more times, each time this is like the first time in the world it had ever been mentioned. Then on saturday [the 17th] she's texting me at noon... come over when your done... done with what, celebrating the day with my cougar??!? "well fine if your not coming out here, I'm coming there"... ummm noooo. [side note to that, I was also redoing all the electrical in my apartment, so all the circuits were shut off, so its like what are you going to do? sit in the dark? no absolutely not].

anyways I'm thoroughly pissed about the whole thing. I've been with her a hair under a year now and I've always given her full access to my life and in that time I think there have been 3, THREE occasions that I've had an event where she hasnt been invited. Now I could care less if she doesnt understand or care, but when I spend months talking up something I was doing by myself and you repeatedly ignore that and get pissy about it.... well you'll find out very quickly which of the 2 women in my life is going to win out.

theres my rant.
