Thinking about getting a Cougar
I am thinking about getting a 1999 Cougar tomorrow. Is there any problems that are run into a lot with these cars? I read somewhere a horror story about someone had a 99 Cougar and tried to turn left and he had 1/2 tank of gas and the engine shut off. Can that actually happen?

That can happen n ANY car, if the fuel pump is going out.

Mechanical parts do fail, you know...

somethin similar happened to me but my ignition fuse blew and it had me stumped for about 20 minutes lol

Nah fedex overnight will be cheap.


Have it checked out by someone who knows their stuff. Only things to really worry about are typical issues that may arise from a 10 year old car.

If maintanenced regularly it should last just as long as any other car out there.
