there should be western canada and eastern canada. Get rid of ontario since its in the east which already has one, and turn it to the west.

Uh... yeah... no.

The majority of members from Eastern Canada are from Ontario... just have a quick look at the Eastern Canada chapter. It's DEAD!

Why should we change the name? Just to change? Forget it...

haha what have you got against Quebec and the other eastern provinces? If its dead in there it wont make much difference whether they change the name or not.

If anything, Eastern Canada is least active. Ontario is just that...Ontario. Sure, some people cross post. But Ontario Neco is VERY active, just because it's winter and some of us have cars in storage

doesn't mean we aren't active. In the summer, we have Can-Am, Hamillfest, and a variety of mini-meets. So to say it's not active is pretty sad.

I should also add that since Ontario makes up 40% of Canada's population, why NOT have an Ontario section? Lastly (since you are relatively new) Ontario NECO used to be the Toronto Cougar Club. It was changed to Ontario NECO for sponsor and ability to expand the club. If you use me for example, I'm 2 hours from Detroit, can make it to Buffalo in 2 hours, and can hit up Toronto in 2 hours, does that mean I attend Empire, Ontario, and MC Neco Meets? Not really

EDIT: BTW....when is the next Alberta meet?

First of all he said eastern Canada NECO is dead which it is pretty close no one ever doubted that Ontario Neco is doing quite well with active members. And I dont wanna have anyone change it really you know it would just be cool to be included somewhere instead of ditching half of Canada. Maybe there would be more members in Western Canada if we had a chapter.

then get a group together, start up a website and get an active backing.

Changing the name of Ontario sounds nice and easy for you, but you forget that there are paid websites etc and stickers that have been made. (referencing 20COUG00)

Eastern Canada used to be quite active, and is actually gaining some momentum lately. The reason we have an area in the forums is for meets to be arranged etc, would you be driving close to 6-8 hours for a meet? Doubtful.

As Goldie mentioned NW caters to both Canada and the US that are in the center of North America and up...so technically there is a home for you.
