half shaft
Anyone up for a day of pulling a half shaft? Unfortunatly I haven't had the time to fix it yet. If not it's all good, hopefully I can get it done this weekend. I'm having a non-driving cougar fix right now. I've drivin' it probably about 2 or 3 times in 3 months now. ahhhhhhh!!!

Re: half shaft
Which half shaft? driver side? Not sure what I'm doing this weekend but if i got time ill give ya a call. By the way the mechanic at Mary's work just removed the passenger side shaft by releasing the ball joint from the a arm and pulling the suspension out far enough to pop the shaft.

Re: half shaft
it's the driver side...the hardest side of course. From what I was reading, they say it's easier to pop out the passenger, then use a screw driver to pop out the other side.

Re: half shaft
I figure, if we could do it sunday, I'll get the car up on blocks (literally...cmu blocks) I don't have any stands, but have the calipers, wheels, the nut on the shaft off, pretty much, well, hopefully down to taking off the ball joint or strut, either way. We'll see though, depends on what time I get home saturday to.
