Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

yes obviously the wing dipping into the ground was what put this outside of the norm.... I saw that part and stopped watching.

the whole landing sideways thing can be placed at #2 or #3 on my worst nightmare lists. it makes me cringe the same as watching someone get stuck with a needle.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

I've been on a plane with pretty nasty crosswinds before. Looking down the runway from my side window was cool, but a little unsettling at the same time.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

If those are the conditions for your first landing, the instructor should just take the controls and let you try again under more optimal conditions.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

I took a few lessons but never finished my training. One day I'll get my Pilots license. The few times I went up it was on Sunny afternoons with almost no wind.

and in the case of my region, causes the members prices to go up because the SAC is going to absorb 5 bucks of the temporary membership to keep non members at only 10 bucks more than members

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

we have some racers that arent part of the scca and dont want to be. so we are going to use him as a test to see if they only send it out twice. i have a feeling that they wont be doing it after this year. i dont see the cost of all the mailing expenses. its just one more thing that i have to explain now at the drivers meetings
