Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

actually thats normal proceedure for landing [the b52's actually have it where they can angle their landing gear so they dont need to snap over at the last second].

I went out for my pilots license about 10 years ago. the first landing I had to do was in a pretty steep cross wind. instructor kept barking about it being easy and you just snap it over at the last second.... just snap it over.

scared the **** out of me, and ended up dropping out of the program because of that.

found out a few years later the guy was a raging drunk. got arrested for punching one of his students and had a BAC 4 times the dui limit... this was at 9am in the morning... so there was probably more to the landing he had me do than he led me to believe.

The finish line for all the Rock N Roll marathons is the worst part. I spend hours driving around trying to find a place to park that's close enough to then walk to the stadium to meet Brent.

He wants to run a marathon in each of the fifty states. I don't know how many marathons and ultra marathons he's run, but he's completed 15 out of the fifty states.

I'm so disgusted with the new membership set up. Last year, you could upgrade your membership when you sent it in. This year, not so much. I called the membership peeps and they never called me back. I'm trying to get it upgraded so Brent is a member (I know some people register their infants, but I'm not all about that).

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

the other thing that i dont like about this year is that if you want to race you have to pay for a temporary membership which gets you a packet of info trying to get you to join. supposedly you are only going to get the info twice, but that just tacks on more money that non members have to pay. and adds a bunch of paperwork for the club to do

The sideslip part is SOP, the crashing part not so much. It isn't very obvious in the video, but the left wingtip hit the ground and was pretty much destroyed just before he went off the runway.
