I'm guessing the low voltage messed with the hood switch, setting off the alarm, but HOW did the car manage to charge itself? and I'm trying to wonder why it was so damn low in the first place.. no lights were on, door was closed and locked.. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

Have the temps risen radically? That is the only thing I've seen cause a battery to miraculously recharge itself.
