I make sure it is securely on the jack/jack stand, squat down next to the wheel, grab the back side of the wheel securely and lunge backward. A bit of warning though as I've ended up laying on back back with the wheel on my chest on multiple occasions. Then before you put the wheels back on, put a thin layer of antisieze on the hubs to prevent the wheel from sticking in the future.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

So, I stopped by the Bentley/Maserati dealership because I noticed they were putting up a new building. Unfortunantly, it isn't the Alfa showroom that I was hoping it would be. Instead it is a Lambo show room and Bugatti service center.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

The only other thing I can think of is to lower the car down onto the wheel and see if the weight of the car pops it loose (obviously don't remove the jack completely).

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

Yeah I was going to suggest a mallet on the back of the tire or even rim if you're using a rubber mallet that isn't too hard.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

nice, you know there is also plastic faced mallets that are a bit more durable and still soft enough

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

i prefer facing away from the car and giving it the good old donkey back and forth on different sides of the tire.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread

ground controls are installed. had to use the rubber hammer to beat on the back of the rim to get it to come off.

so i had some noise coming from the front of the atx that sounded like a wheel bearing. checked the bearing and its all good. but where the axle goes into the trans has some play up and down and about 1/8" in and out

and terry how close is your exhaust to your subframe connector on the drivers side? i need to do something to keep it from banging up against it
