Not yet. I've downloaded it, but haven't watched it yet. But, yes, the Lotus Carlton was a real beast.

Tom, do you have a relative who lives near Grayslake named Peter that runs a . . . ****, I think it was a greenhouse or something like that?

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
Did you drive past the landscaping business, or just see one of the trucks? That was the company that was founded by my grandfather and now run by my dad. I grew up in the house across the street from there.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
well lets see, lets continue with the story.... last I posted was my driving into work just as the expected foot of snow started falling. showed up to be told it was a snow day. Posted that here and immediately drove home.
the second I pulled out of the parking lot. I discovered the towncar had no brakes. and when I say no brakes, I mean NOTHING. ZERO pad resistance. It made for a scary ride home, all 30 miles of it.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
lets just say the towncar is capable of 33mpg.
in retrospect I knew there were problems with the car immediately after pulling out [well actually it took a few minutes, confusing the pedal going to the floor with the possiblity that the ABS was malfunctioning], but I should've in no way attempted to continue driving.... but with all that snow expected, I didnt feel like I had alot of options or that there were safe places to ditch my car. and actually it was much safer for me to drive to my house than my parents that are only 5 minutes away [lotsa turns and lights], my place is right hand turns only [both ways ]. The highway was kinda trivial. it wasnt until I had to exit that I started thinking of ways of stopping the car... turns out all I really needed was to drop it into 2nd to get it down to about 10 and 1st to get it under 5. then I just timed up my 5mph speed with red lights so stopping wasnt necissary.and to fully stop the car, I just beached it into a snow bank. tada!
