Drill it out and retap it for the next size up? Not ideal, but it would be easier.

well tom I have a spare set of calipers if need be.

my engine noise is progressively getting worse... sounds like everyones cougar took a dump this weekend.

ah, yeah, shows how much i've messed with the brakes on the cougar, my grand total alots to changing the pads, so yeah, i dont know what to tell you, maybe the line has developed a bit of a crack

The problem with that is i broke off the extractor in the old bold and it's made of high strength steel. I tried drilling it out but couldn't. It's fubared!

Could be. There was fluid everywhere when I first looked at it, so it is hard to pinpoint the exact location. I was going to clean it up and then try to figure out just where it's coming from sometime later this week.
