Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
See, thats cool. I remember (barely) when Blackhawks-Red Wings games used to mean something. Now, its just another "duece and dub" for the 'Wings.

Say what you want about the 'Hawks, but they at least TRIED to bring in some "name" free agents, headlined by Nikolai "The Bhulin Wall Has Crumbled" Khabibhulin. You take risks, they don't pan out, and you're stuck with that. These risks all failed pretty spectacularly, not to mention simultaneously, but at least the 'Hawks tried. The Cubs, on the other hand, sign two middle relievers and trade for a leadoff hitter who is defensively weak. The starting rotation is a bloody mess because the cubs A****INGGAIN built these team around pitchers who have been not just injuy prone, but have spent more time on the disabled list over the last two seasons then they have on the active roster. The team is full of question marks . . . can Aramis Ramirez stay healthy? Can Derrek Lee stay hot all season? Who's playing second, and if it's not Todd Walker, why? Who's gonna be the corner outfielders? Most of these questions are ones that were raised BEFORE this past off season, and yet the Cubs have done nothing to address it. And what happens the day tickets go on sale? The Cubs sell six million and set a new opening day record. WTF, mate?!?!?! ![]()

They're my team, good, bad or ugly. I refuse to jump the bandwagon, and I actually cheered for Houston to win last year's World Series, definitely NOT the Pale Ho's.

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
I'll try to make it down to your meet this year. Is it usually that late in the fall?

Re: The Undead Gateway Thread
Last year was my 1st.... and everyone had a good time but seemed to feel that it was too late in the fall. Kinda cold that day, which i knew would happen but i kept trying to work with a date that the most people could make. From that aspect it worked out well. We had ALOT of people show up for a simple mod meet. Tom, Mary, Reagan + wife, Heather, Cougar4, Terec, Jason and i think im forgetting some one or 2...
But no one wanted to get in the hot tub and the pool was already closed for the season.... So we just hung out on the deck for a while eatting, did some very minor car stuff then just went in for the nite and babbled oh and drank.... then babbled some more ![]()
