well I just dont update my video card very often. in fact its very very rare that I play 3d computer games. because for desktop stuff, there is absolutely no speed benifit from todays smokin cards as opposed to a good quality card 8 years ago [if fact I would argue that the older ones CAN perform better].

but I'm running an NVIDIA geforceFX5600 which is about 2/3 major chip architectures behind. I bought it 2 years ago and it was very midrange then. I've yet to find a game that it WONT play.

I'm due for a replacement, and this time I think I will splurge and get a [lower] high end card. unfortunately directX10 [although its not going to be called that] is being released with windows vista later this year, and that stuff is always a big deal [beta testing for DX9 began in early 99... so its been a while]. so unfortunately its a waiting game for compliant cards to be released.

i think that the coug can be a little bit more competitive than the contour. But im just guessing since ive never seen one run. But knowing what me, tom, terec, and kelly have done i think i can say that the coug can be VERY competitive
