    Valve question

So I was doing a valve lash adjustment on an over head cam non cougar motor. I started turning the adjustment screw on the top and the valve spring just kept coming up. It wasnt stopping like all the others. What could cause that? I tightened it back down and left it.

    Re: Valve question

Valve head broke off in the cylinder? Keepers are missing? LOL, there aren't really any "good" answers other than if the follower was on the lobe rather than the base circle of the cam.

    Re: Valve question

That's what I was thinking as well. Turns out though I just did it wrong. I followed someone off google saying how to adjust valve lash. Read the hanes manual and turns out the wrong cylinder was TDC while I was adjusting it. Good to know nothing serious was wrong

    Straight lines make me giggle.
