    Gtr or evo x?

Got a buddy who has a option to buy either a evo x or a gtr. Money is not really a concern for him (lucky bastard!) He asked me which one should he get? I told him the evo. I personally like the design better then the gtr and I think you can do more with it then the gtr. What do you guys think?

quality mostly. i would 100% rather have a v6 tt putting down 540 hp. over a little 4 banger that has no torque and only 300 hp.

with a few mods such as larger turboes, exhaust, injectors, and a tune you will be at 800hp on the gtr. not sure if that whp or at the crank though.

it also has auto adjusting suspension according to the type of driving and stuff like that iirc.

not to mention it is a super car. getting attention is always nice.

its also the best bang for your buck!

but honestly. if he has to ask some one else what kinda "fast car" he should get. and that person has to ask other people including the forums. i think he should stay away from every "fast car" before sh!t gets real

He should buy a crappy car, learn how to drive a crappy car first(he clearly doesn't know anything about cars if those are his two only serious choices)....you're talking a HUGE price difference between an Evo and a GTR....hell you can get a Z06, a 911 turbo, a F360, a Viper, a ZR1, there are tons of other cars...if you can afford the GTR, thats the choice to make.

pretty much what i meant, theres many videos and storys of rich douches(and no offence to your friend) hitting stuff and crashing and doing stupid stuff. because they think owning a car means they no driving. and again i dont know your friend and im not saying anything about him. im sure hes cool tho

If money isn't a problem, how about a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Sports Coupe? About $30K less than a basic GTR, comes in ATX or MTX, great track record, out perfomed a Ferrari on Top Gear. Cost is from $63K to about $75K fully loaded.

"The 2012 CTS-V Coupe is the complete package—a stunning, high-performance sport coupe with overt styling and extraordinary capability on the road. The Eaton-supercharged and intercooled 6.2L V8 engine generates a massive 556 horsepower and 551 lb.-ft. of torque. Put the power to the pavement with your choice of an available TREMEC® 6-speed manual shifter or Hydra-Matic 6-speed automatic. Once launched, performance handling is assured by a Nürburgring®-tuned suspension fitted with revolutionary dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control that reacts in the blink of an eye to changing demands. And race-inspired Brembo® disc brakes—6-piston in front, 4-piston in back—deliver massive stopping power. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit features full instrumentation with LED-traced gauges that flash as redline approaches and an available g-meter that communicates lateral acceleration. Available bolstered RECARO® performance seats keep the driver firmly planted during performance driving. The 2012 CTS-V Coupe. Stunning in every way".

Well my buddy is very knowledgeable about cars, for crap sake his family owns three car lots and and two performance shops here in tacoma. I personal don't like the gtr. They have had so many problems with the transmission
They say they have fixed the proplem. But my other friend is on third transmission and at 10 k a pop not a very fun experience. The first wad dead do to faulty launch controller. Which is one of the Salinger points of the car, but its not covered under warranty?
These were the only two cars we were talking about. But the cts-v is a awesome car!
