took the tibby to the track **updated just for Matt**

today was the "open house" for the z-max drag strip next to Lowes Motor Speedway. First 200 cars got to drag race for free, so I figured I would. unfortunately the computer system was not set up yet so there were no times on the runs.

Lot's of really nice cars including a new Shelby GT500 with a KB supercharger

a couple roush mustangs, couple z06 vettes. quite a few camaros, old and new. and the new Challenger.

I ran a guy in a prelude with an h22 engine i believe, i/h/e, pulleys, and cam gears. I crushed him off the line, had him at the 1/8th mile, but he caught up on the top end and beat me by a nose. I got a really good launch though, so I was happy with that. Wish I could have gotten a time slip, but I know it runs somewhere between a 14.9 and 15.3 probably. oh, and i forgot my damn camera too so I couldn't get any pics

I know. as soon as I pulled in and saw a lotus i realized i forgot it. i was pissed. lol.

yeah, tiburons are actually pretty responsive to modifications. good drivers have hit 14.9's with just an intake. someone with an automatic tib dyno'd before and after installing a CAI, and the dynos showed like a 17whp gain. apparently the stock air box is super restrictive. I don't think everyone has gotten those kind of gains from just an intake, but it is possible apparently
