speaking of which, matt you gotta check out Death Track. First 3d game that I can remember [ok I'm guilty of still playing it].

I find myself more and more often going back to the older tried and true classic games. Ones coming out now are almost like movies - huge story line, lots characters, and too involved to just sit down and play without setting aside hours and hours. I'm STILL waiting for someone to bring back "Rock and Roll Racing" *sigh* I've always had the dream to make a Twisted Metal type car... all my plans sound well and good until I run into 2 problems - where do i get chain guns, and what sort of insane chassis, suspension and frame would I need to support the armor plating AND move the car! |

well the company in the office right next to ours specializes in building and exporting armored vehicles. I have talked to him about it before and yes they do beef the car up with much stiffer springs [else the car sags horribly], and on some cars they do add some bracing to the underbody just like our subframe connectors. Most difficult part is dealing with gas and brake lines and getting the wire to snake in and out of the armor without compromising its protective ability.
