Another new car thread.. "srry lol"

Well, with my cougar getting close to maximum engine mods, Im looking into getting another car... This car is gonna hopefully become a road coarse car since i've been wanting to do it for the longest time now.

Im going around with a limit of 20k with rwd or awd in mind.

Been looking for awhile now... These are the obvious ones.

    Audi TT
    subi wrx
    vw R32

Why im really posting is to ask the few of the scca guys on here what they see as being a good car for scca.

    thnx, Aaron

Beamers are awesome road racers. There are so many options with them. Drop a M3 motor in it, Turbo, S/C. Tons of suspension and brake mods.

I'm with ov3n here.....coilovers and sway bars....they are beasts on the autoX course.

If you get a subie, look for a wrx for around 10 and drop another 4500 or so on an STi 6spd. You will need a strong box for autocross. Seriously, best mod evAr aside from a tune

Well I'd say get the audi or the VW. both already come with a 6 spd and the bimmer will kill you when it comes to paying for mods.. its bad. I just dynoed 232/262awtq with my TT and I have basic bolt ons.

    Unknown is kinda right.

Mods for the bimmer are insane $$$$. Even on a 10 year old platform. (e46)

Yea, i've had a few friends that have oned the 330's...

one of the two still has it.. Other one decided to get rid of it because he couldnt afford anything on it,.. brake upgrade was like 3 grand... supercharger kit was 8k..

I know the tt's got the power but are they good with corners ?

if you want to road race you need to decide what class you want to run in, and what you want to run against. there are a LOT of classes. i would get into the spec miata class if i were to get into it fresh. But as it is i would run the 3L in the unlimited class since its all ready legal for that class.

    find all your classes here

remember just like in autox your classes limit your mods
