Yes, way to go Ford... I'm sure this will solve all your problems

Re: 2009 Ford Flex

Underneath the skin, it's a Taurus X. Autoblog was griping about the lame handling and weak powertrain.

I kinda like the looks though. Needs a V8.

Re: 2009 Ford Flex

It's very important that a minivan replacement is able to get top scores on an autocross!

Teh St0v3 is a Flex-lover. A dirty Flex-lover.

Re: 2009 Ford Flex

OK, it wasn't autoblog - it was Jalopnik.

Quote:
Ford's 3.5-liter V6 mated to this 6-speed auto is still the worst combination on sale today, delivering neither performance nor economy.

It's equally flawed when considered as an emotional purchase. According to Ray, it drives exactly like a Taurus X, which is to say depressingly adequately, which doesn't compensate for the fuel consumption, 16/22 for the AWD version is too SUV-like to wow us.
I want to like it. I do like the way it looks.

Re: 2009 Ford Flex

I just don't understand why they are expecting a 5 second 0-60 time from a 4400 pound vehicle.
