so I am new to the forum, and I am going to turbo my car

so I think I have seen this thread by countless n00bs on every car forum I have ever been on. but how many of these guys do you think actually go through with doing such a thing as they say they are planning in their first few posts?

Steps of owning a poor performer....


Step 1: Buy slow car.


Step 2: Find forum for slow car.

Step 3: Ask which intake sounds the best.

Step 4: Buy intake reccommended on the forum.

Step 5: Install intake on Friday night and go cruising for rice.

Step 6: Find yourself at a stoplight, in the asshole lane, with your girlfriend sitting next to you telling you how sexy your car sounds.

Step 7: Notice minivan pulling up at the light , and looking over at your underpowered car.

Step 8: Your girlfriend says, "you better win", half jokingly.

Step 9: Light turns green, mivivan pwns your face and leaves a little exhaust on your girlfriends face.


Step 10: Post in anger on forum at how underpowered your car is.

Step 11: Forum gurus convince you to dump ungodly amounts of money to turbo your car.


Step 12: You spend all the money on your new fangled turbo kit and tuning setup.


Step 13: You find yourself at Step 6 again.

Step 14: A stock new edge Mustang GT pulls next to you and you hear him rev.


Step 15: Your girlfriend says, "no worries, you spent so much money on your new turbo setup, smoke that rustang"

Step 16: You get pwned in the face again.

Step 17: You find yourself at Step 10 again, but this time Forum gurus make you feel better because you are "different"

I'd say 1/4 Actually go through with the full setup. while the other 3/4 go with headers/exhaust/decals/wheels/intake only lol.

I havent been to Barett in about 5 years. Back in the day that used to be the place to go. Seriously, I used to drive an hour to go hang out. I get my monthly fix for rice at the Varsity now though. You should come out man, its a good time if you've never been , seriously. Ill give you my number and we can chill.
