well the time came for the cougar and time to look toward a new car i'm really thinking of getting a 2006 Tiburon GT what you guys think. opinions? any other choices? i'm pretty much open to anything. i'm working with about 13k so that's a good start. what i'm looking for is a sporty manual car that i can i can still have fun with as a daily driver.

I love my tib man. I've had it for over 2 years and still runs flawless. haven't had one problem with it at all. performance is decent on it, slightly faster than the cougar from my experiences, but it's still not blazing fast by any standards. however, the aftermarket is good for this car. you can get a s/c for about 1400 if you find a good deal, and net yourself anywhere between 215whp - 240whp depending on tune and boost. I'll get you some sites later on, or you can check out NewTiburon.com and check out the sponsor pages they have.

hopefully this thread won't get deleted like the last one. anyone know why that one happened?

The WRX is an excellent choice around that price range. My other car was an 04 WRX and I had picked it up for 14k. Lasted a good while too.

Seriously though, all you needed was a new axle. 100 bucks and it would have been good to go

You can pick up a 350z, SRT4 Neon, Cobalt SS/Ion Redline, or a new Sky/Solstice for under/around 20k.

Hell look for an EVO!!!!

seriously though, how did it die? if its the motor i have one FS, but if its that and you really want to get rid of the car let me know

yea i would pick any of those up but i can't find any of those arond here at a decent price or just can't find them period.

heres what i did find
06 tiburon gt (5 speed)
03 jetta 1.8T (5 speed)
07 mazda6 (they will try to find a 5 speed for me)
that about it. im going to keep looking though. i'll look into a wrx i would like to have one that is close to get to.

VCT is toast. plus i need new injectors and starter. all together it will cost me 1600 to fix it all but the car has 170k and it so not worth it i guess.

Dude the center diff was shot!!! I found the car on ebay and talked to the new owner

And it wasnt from going off road, it had been a good 5-6 months until something broke/last time I went offroading fool! lol
