OVERALL EVALUATION: Good
Injury measures Head protection Structure/safety cage
Head/neck Torso Pelvis/leg
Driver Good Good Good Good Acceptable

Injury measures — Measures taken from the neck and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the the dummy's head were high when it hit the steering wheel through the airbag, indicating that head injuries would be possible. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would also be possible. Head acceleration from the roof rail hit was negligible.

Still prefer the cougar or even better yet the legacy to be in a crash with.

Well, not many things can survive a direct t-bone from an 18wheeler. Either way, the fact the dummies head went through the airbag worries me.

Curb weight 730 kg (1,600 lb) (from Wikipedia)

According to physics, more weight usually wins. Those things are like go-carts.

He could be a hypermiler and need it for bottom of hill coasting where you can gain quite a bit of speed in neutral without your foot on the brake ... that or he doesn't get the point of an "economy" car

that is very true..they are testing safety, performance all those categories so they won't get the best results.
