Question Where has SVT gone?
Just asking to see if anyone knows, it kinda bothers me a little bit. WHERE HAS FORD'S SVT DIVISION GONE?!?! The last time they touched a car was 2004 which was the SVT Focus and the SVT Lightning...look at the Ford's newer cars they have to play with, for one, THE FUSION. Maybe a SVT Focus or maybe even the Mustang, who knows.

The Ford GT and Shelby Cobra GT500 were built by SVT.

The only SVT Badges on the Shelby are the center caps on its wheels. SVT Is a shell of its former self. SVT got to tune the suspension of the GT500, thats about it.

yeah, sadly SVT was disbannded awhile ago now. There are many threads about it on CEG .... also there are links to the new webpage for ford performance ....just can't recall the site of the top of my head right now ...

Suspension is what SVT does best.

Any backyard hick can make a motor spit out crazy horsepower, but they can't make a live-axle GT take a curve...

Motortend had an article that mentioned a SVT come back. The article was more about Ford axing their V8 for a turbo 6, but it had also mentioned that part of getting the US market into the turbo 6 would be to build some enthusiasm for it by putting it into a couple of SVT vehicles first. They had mentioned a couple potential vehicles such as the Lightning, Fusion, and Focus
(tubro 4, not 6 of course). Then vehicles to get the turbo 6(in some case tuned down a little) would be the regular production vehicles that have die hard V8 owners such as the Mustang and regular Ford Pickups.
