Yeah theirs a SB on the third gear for those cars however if you drive those cars right and keep the fluid changed, you will not see an issue. Also the engine is VERY reliable(except for a batch of bone stock rsx's with faulty cams), and can be quite powerful if the right tidbits are added. Hell a bone stock k engine put into a civic,crx,del slo, etc can net you a 12 second pass at the track with a high trap speed.

i hate the focus.
always have, always will.

i do enjoy the rsx. something about it just makes it more appealing.

The choice was hard since both cars are very nice and reliable.

I was looking more into something economic..

So i bought a 2003 Silver RSX with Black Leather.

It has the base engine so I dont have to run 91+ octane.

Focus SVT takes premium and burn more gas than the RSX.

Its not a car that I will be modding to make it fast..

fast = more fuel ... Not heading that way with that car.

Fast will be true with my cougar and its enought like that

Congrats on the purchase. I would have taken a Focus SVT over a base RSX, but it's not my call.

SVT has a great 6 speed german tranny.. very good brakes and handling is very nice.

RSX handling is as good .. RSX Type S are known to have issues but Im not comparing a Type S with a SVT here .. Just Premium vs SVT.

Im not getting rid of my Cougar. Cougar will become week end car only. Need one for Summer/Job and Winter.

Shes stock and not going to rice her up with some tail lights or whatever..

I find that the exterior is far more sexy then the focus.

Maybe not as much as our cougars

but a lot more than the focus for sure.

I really like cars with that hatchback trunk just like a cougar.
