Re: advice on new car
and a civic isn't small? Yea the Mini's do look tiny but actually have decent room inside them.

Re: advice on new car
Test drive the TC first. It's a great looking car, but when I test drove it, it felt like what it was - a sedan. There's also the option of a Mazda3 if you can find a cheaper one. Honda Civics are okay... in the SI. Anything older then that, uggerz.
Maybe... an Eclipse? But if it's a sedan you want, the TC is a great choice. I think it's a gorgeous car and the handling wasn't too bad. But for me, it was still a sedan. |

Re: advice on new car
A couple friends of mine have scion tcs so I have driven them a good amount. I am going to get an automatic, because I cant drive slow in a manual transmission, and obviously I'm too hard on them. I figure I'll slow down and be easier on an automatic. I have not test drove a civic yet, but I probably will not get a vtec, and it will not be a manual. I dont really like the cooper. It's just is too small for me. Thanks for the advice, does anyone have any other options.

As for the Civic, check the insurance. My coworker has a 2000 model, doesn't even have a/c, and he pays more on insurance than his Nissan Pathfinder, which is about the same age.

Re: advice on new car
Well my driving record is not good so I need something that will have good insurance prices. Why would a civic have high insurance though?

And perhaps high repair costs? Also could have something to do that they're a popular car to give young drivers, who are also the most likely to crash them up.
