...Aaaaaaaaaaaand right you are!
Good luck with that swap. Any time you mention "Jag" and "MG" in the same sentence with "engine swap", my sphincter clenches <shiver>.

Re: AJ30 V6 swap MGB
With money anything is possible but there are better engine options out there that are far less complex and have more hp. The Jag AJ60 (AKA 3L Duratec) V6 has variable valve timing which you would need to control. You'd probably have to get a jaguar computer and if possible use the SCT Pro Racer software to program it to work. The best option for the Contour/Cougar platform is the non VVT 3L available in the Taurus/Sable. Nobody has attempted to use a 3L with VVT and been successful. I'd suggest you find a MGB forum and ask them about engine swaps.

Re: AJ30 V6 swap MGB
What up Blackcoog? are you planning in adapting the 3.0 supercharger to a 3.0 Jaguar. you know their is very limted performance stuff for 3.0 Jaguars. What are you're thoughts?

Re: AJ30 V6 swap MGB
well considering people have dropped 350s in those things, then sure its doable [keeping in mind the statement "with enough time and money"]
sorry not many of us are down with the jag versioning tags, better off just saying 3L duratec or your just going to freak people out.

Re: AJ30 V6 swap MGB
My father's dream car is an MGB, I forget what year though.
He also took a sprite with him on a drunken nose dive off of a bridge during a hell of a rain storm. My personal suggestion, for a good motor in that MGB, would be either a gm 2.8 or 3.4 V6. I just had a really really bad image pop into my head. Supercharged Zetec MGB?
