What SUV to Get?
So I got accepted to East Stroudsburg University next year and will be moving to some apartments in the Poconos.
... which now makes me want to get an SUV. ![]() My Cougar has honestly been great to me, and this isn't a sure thing, but I'm looking at two narrowed down choices! If you have any others let me know!. I have wanted a Dodge Durango way before I even got the Cougar. I actually had one all picked out. Perfect silver 5.2L w/ leather interior. I go back to the dealership to buy it... and they've sold it! I love the style and the interior. But the gas mileage is questionable. The Nissan Xterra is a car that's started to win my heart as of recent. I like the interior of the 2004s and later - plus the outside looks rugged as hell to boot. It's a v6, but that also means that gas mileage will be improved. And considering my Cougar is running at about 20mpg ( ) I can take a small hit.

Re: What SUV to Get?
If i was on the hunt for a suv i would be looking into a BMW x5. The used ones sell for not much more than Durangos and also have a v6 so better of fuel mileage. But that just my two cents.

First gen S10 Blazer Sport:
![]() I'm getting about 18mpg, with the 4.3l V6. Shift on the fly 4x4. And you can usualy get them for less than $2000, which means you shouldn't have to sell the cougar to afford it. Case in point, mine costed me a whopping total of $930 to buy the truck, after tax, with a new windshield, and registration/emmission/safety.
