Re: Corn fed Cougar?

There is no way you can produce enough hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis to continuously feed the engine, at least not in a volume that would make any difference.

Also, has anybody mentioned yet that ethanol eats through some parts of non E85 fuel systems? You need to change over nearly the entire thing, pumps, lines, etc. Anything made of plastic will be eaten alive. Or dead, cus its plastic. Yeah.

HHO injection is yet another scam, just like those ebay chips.

Re: Corn fed Cougar?

I've got a friend with a Sti in CO and he said E85 was running about 1.85 a gallon and he was getting worse mpg, but it was still cheaper in the long run. I don't think he had any performance losses, he's still pushing over 400hp I believe.

Re: Corn fed Cougar?

The only thing "green" about E85 is that it's a renewable resource.

E85 is hurting out economy more than it is helping.

Most "green" things hurt more than they help.

The FFV Taurus uses the Vulcan OHV 3L, not the Duratec 3L, so no, no FFV engine swap.

Yeah the production of E85 actually is producing more carbon than it replaces, so the whole thing is one big lose-lose.
