Hell yeah, it's a blast, I just heard alot of things about oil control issues. I have ehard of people swapping in the 4-rotor Cosmo motor (japan only), and it's a beast. Too bad it's retard-expensive. Dodge had a series of web videos when they launched it, one was a street racing scenario against a wrx, but it's a ****ty plot to the story. The factory open diff is crap, king of the one-tire-fire, but quaiffe makes a 2-way that fixes it.

Re: Looking at an SRT-4...

If it's got decent # of miles, I think you should definitely pick it up for $9K. If you end up wanting to get rid of it, you could always turn around and sell it for more than 9K.

I love the power aspect of the SRT-4's. However, I do NOT like the high percentage of asshats that own them.

Re: Looking at an SRT-4...

My biggest issue with the Neon SRT-4 is the crash test ratings... After the IIHS retested what the Fed did, they gave it a marginal front impact rating and poor side crash test ratings. Then I saw a friends after a rather minor accident and he was badly hurt.

For that reason, I won't even be a passenger in one anymore. Fast and unsafe... not a great combo...

Well maybe he just didn't know how to drive, or perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention when I posted. Perhaps both.

Re: Looking at an SRT-4...

Sounds like a good deal, Given he hasn't beaten on the thing too hard.

I'd offer him $8,000 for it. If it's not about the money, he shouldn't have a serious problem with you knocking the price down some.
