I'm a member of Autopia.org and they have a live chat/shout feature that runs at the top of the forums.

Seems like it would be a cool addition for quick chats amongst members without the need for a thread.

I say I, even though all the forums that I've been on that have chat type things like this usualy end up being frequented by Aholes.

I recall chat software being purchased a couple years back so the CF organizers could talk in real time (IIRC the money for it came from CF funds but I don't know if that's true) - but I don't think anyone really ever used it.

NO! We did have a chat feature briefly. But the refrsh was extremely slow IIRC. And noone ever used it

There was one really brief update to the forums...it was only online for like an hour and there was a buddylist chat feature. I think it also made all of moderators or something too...lol, and that's why they disabled it.
