piston and rods help

so i have look at both diamond pistons and pauter rods web sights i am trying to find what specs i need to give them so they can make my stuff. I am looking for some one who has done this before so they can help me out. I am buying my turbo in two months i am going with the stage one from nautilus then build on to the turbo from their to maybe the stage three kit they have

o by the way I have a 01 with a mtx

I am putting this here cause i not sure if it would go here or 2.5l duratec

and should I build up the engine when i am just putting on the stage one right know?

Re: piston and rods help

Don't waste your money. Stock internals are fine.

Re: piston and rods help

If your gonna be running low boost for awhile, like anything under 10psi don't even bother with building the motor. 2.5 and 3.0l have survived with this boost range just fine.

Re: piston and rods help

if ur going to build. build a 3L and then throw the stage 3 at that one. the stage 1 or 2 will be fine on stock internals on low boost, but u will want to build the drivetrain or u will purrrreee the diff

X

didn't you read my build thread?!? gamiller is also running forged internals in order to have 8.5:1 compression. i don't know the specs or part numbers, but it was built by Rick Blackfoot (a.k.a. Buckshot77) if ya wanna look him up at Ford Contour Enthusiasts Group.

erfnick1: DemonSVT and Reebs are running low boost on stock internals. Warmonger also thinks it's fine up to a point. In hindsight, I think I'd rather have the money to buy a second motor than sink it all in a rebuilt motor.

Re: piston and rods help

I'm also running a stock block. As everyone has stated drop a 3L in there and leave the internals stock. Replace the bearings with some clevite bearings and you will be good to go.
