2.0l Zetec Turbo

so this year is the first year im getting alot of money back on my taxes and i was wandering what are my choices for a turbo setup for my car i know that ALOT!!! of it will have to be fabed but as i look online this is not the best car to tune seeing as parts are few and far between however i am a ford man at heart and to speak of the focus (damn i said it) is blastphmy so i am sticking with the cougar ,god i love this car. so im wandering where do i start any help ?

do a search for "afterhours" or "seawulf"

read abunch of their threads. Some very good information.

also, your going to want to know that on a stock engine you wont want to put very much boost. maybe 6 lbs at the most to keep it safely.

but other than that your gonna need
exhaust manifold
wastegate
a bunch of custom piping
intercooler
turbo
blow off valve
injectors
ecu map of some sort (tuning)
etc etc etc.... the list goes on and on.

Before you go diving head first into this project I would do A LOT of research and planning for this project. Mostly make sure your refund check will be enough to cover the whole project. It would suck to get half way or part way through and run out of money.
But add to the list: upgrade the tranny and a good tune.

But anyways theres plenty of info in the 2.0L section.

Dropdatscort lives in the Norwalk area (northern Ohio), and he had a turbo Zetec ZX2 that was putting down some STUPID LARGE numbers. He has an SVT Contour now, but he's all about fabbing parts for the boost.

Dude knows what he's doing.

2.5" Turbo Intercooler Pipe Kit 304 Stainless Steel - TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE
they have this "universal" kit. they also sell the individual pipes, either way ur gonna have to do it yourself. they have a pretty nice intercooler for pretty cheap also.
