No, I started a new job on Jan 1 and I have been too busy to do anything in the evenings and weekends have been shot. I'm hoping I have some time in February as Jan. looks shot right now.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

Well, Wade just stopped by for a few hours since he was in the neighborhood buying yet another fixer'uper. He stopped by with his HD camcorder and we went for a nice little spin ... everything was spinning! We got wheel spin and clutch spin on tape. I will need to analyze the video once he downloads it and cuts out the fluff before posting, but I'm pretty sure clutch spin begins just north of 14 psi as 12.5 psi doesn't seem to induce much more than wheel spin. If the weather is nice next weekend, I will be starting of a shrouding solution and will be ordering parts from Bill Jenkins that will help with the oiling issue. I have to admit, after getting the car road ready, it's been nice to have this little 2 month break without working on the car. However, now I'm anxious to get back to work and make it a complete package.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

too much stuff going on right now ... car has sat in the garage since mid December with me taking it out every 2 weeks or so for a short drive. I just need to find 2 days this spring when things in my personal/work life calm down a bit. I figure in 2 days, I can correct all the issues that need correcting. Last time the car was driven was when Wade came to my place a few weeks back.

Trevor, I'd love to hear your plans if you're willing to share them. Now that I'm back in Virginia, I have to get my car ready for both safety and emissions inspections!

Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

Back on topic (no pun intended Kevin), here is the reason for the overheating ... air exits the rear of the intercooler and simply slips past the radiator ... 5-6" air gap with completely open bottom and sides. Some strategically placed aluminum panels will solve the cooling issue no doubt.
