Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

nice video I guessing you have it in third gear by the MPH isn't it a biatch to keep traction above 400whp............ this in my opinion is the borderline point where people need to spend another 2k on getting the traction to the road otherwise the car is slower down low but a animal up top. Very nice Trevor more than impressed with your work you will have a happy buyer too. joey

Joey, how would you invest $2K to get the power on the ground?

I would say a custom set of axles, custom control arms, nice set of 15 or 16" lightweight wheels with some drag radials to ride around on everyday. And a fund set aside to buy tires 3 or 4 times a year.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

Maybe a custom set of solid aluminum mounts.

Full widebody kit and where you can put some 275's on there around the whole car to make it look uniform along with some trailing arms if needed. joey

Re: Project: Mavro Gato - 99 Turbo'd 3L

Check this out ... better aero would make the car more stable at high speed and add front downforce (more traction). Combine this with traction bars up front (tie subframe to LCA) and you will have a pretty good solution without having to go much wider on the tires:
