Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

Well, I got home an hour early and ran all the wiring/vacuum tubing from the engine bay into the cabin. All I have to do now is run the wiring to the gauges and connect everything and I'm done with the gauges. I will be finishing the gauges tonight

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

Gauges are all wired up and the AEM Tru-Boost has been programmed ... all that remains is running the exhaust from the downpipe back. Currently, the downpipe ends right next to the rear roll restrictor.

As for the AEM Tru-Boost being programmed, I have boost setting A set to 15% duty cycle and setting B set to 30% duty cycle. I also have the scramble boost hooked up with a push button switch. It is set to go to 60% duty cycle for 10 seconds.

So, once I get the exhaust done on Saturday, I will take the car for a spin and see exactly what 15% duty cycle equates to. I have a feeling that I will not be able to exceed 7-8psi until I change out my fuel pump. However, since I have a full tank of gas and I need to play around first and get some data log to Tom, I might as well burn through this tank before swapping out the fuel pump.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

Well, it's been a long day. I got the exhaust system NEARLY complete. Currently, it's terminated just after the rear suspension. I just need to finish by adding a 2nd muffler near where the stock unit is located. After install the first muffler, I decided to lower the car and take it for a test spin. However, I didn't have the boost controller turned on, so the stock spring pressure was venting at 3.73 psi ... but still a great performance increase. Once I finish the exhaust this week, I will take it out again and crank up the boost a little.

Now for some pictures:

And a nice little video (6.15 MB WMV file ... right click save as)
