Yes, the cold-side piping will be run similar to that except that I will be welding a lot of the pipes and only using couplers where needed. Also, my BOV will be facing the driver's side fender, not the passenger's side fender.

Damn alot of those parts look familar. I dont know how he put them in and got it to fit like that but i said screw it after about a day of trying to get them too line up like that. I was looking at the focus washer resorvor too but it desided to go a different route and see it will work just as good. I have a couple pics of focus resoviors if you need them.

I thought about using that resevior, but it's on the wrong side of the car and would cause problems with the wiring.

LOL

Wiring should be the least of your worries with all the work you've done so far!

Looks great

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

is it just me or wouldn't it make more sense to run the piping first over the headers into the intercooler upto the intake, instead of what he did? Would the headers just add heat to the already cooled air? Personally Id just wouldn't run an intercooler and just put the intake part into a colder spot and save all the money and time on running the piping

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

Looking @ the pic, i dont see how you would be able to route the piping under eachother if you were to do it that way ^

There would be 3 tubes @ one place.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

I just dont see having it run over the headers at the end so it just heats back up, then what would be the point of the intercooler?

If he hooked up the turbo were the BOV is it would run over the headers first than get cooled. And hook the pipe from the fender to the TB im pretty sure it would run colder.

Personally i wouldn't run an intercooler at all on this setup. There would be no turbo lag at all since it only has to run maybe a foot and put the intake part in the fender or run the filter near the front of the car for colder air, and personally intercoolers dont look that great on stock front ends..
